Whoa!

So, I totally forgot about this. Queen procrastinator! That's me. Is it too late to start up again? It's my list and my blog, and I say it's never too late! I think I'm going to do a tiny bit of re-vamping on the list and try again. I wonder if I should keep the original start date? I think I will.

Some of the things on my list are ongoing things that I actually have been working on in the time that I haven't been consciously thinking about my 101 list. I will make a post about the things that I actually have accomplished during my hiatus!

09.04.09

The first 4 days of the project have gone pretty well. Here are the updates so far!

  • I haven't missed any vitamins or fish oil pills.
  • I've been tracking my nutrition and fitness at Sparkpeople
  • I've actually been remembering to eat breakfast and exercise more often. It's easier (the exercise) now that the girls are in school and I have some free time each morning!
  • Book 1/100 is read, Pygmy by Chuck Palahniuk. I've had it sitting on my shelf since my birthday in May and I can't believe I hadn't read it yet!
  • I've been making a point to throw all of my loose change in a jar...we actually have a ton of loose change, I've found!
09/09/09 is coming up...I need to figure something fun out to do to celebrate. Anyone have a suggestion? Let me know!

Today the girls and I are going to have craft time when Bug gets home from school. I am thinking of doing something fairy related. Maybe a mini fairy garden! I will be sure to get pictures posted!

101 in 1,001

I've been meaning to get one of these started for awhile now...I could have probably already completed my 1,001 days if I had gotten this up and running when I wanted to! Anyhow, here is some background information on what this project is all about.

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
